Quarterback Jim Sorgi will continue to be a backup. And he'll continue to work behind a Manning. But it no longer will be Peyton; it will be Eli. Giants' V.P. of Communications Pat Hanlon posted the news on his Twitter page . Hanlon says Sorgi will compete with Rhett Bomar.

Jim Sorgi, who spent the last six years as Peyton Manning's backup in Indianapolis, will now be Eli Manning's backup in New York. He signed a one-year contract late Monday night, according to a team source, despite worries that his shoulder could require.
